Apple finally announced the presence of their latest product in the event titled "Spring Loaded".
One of the products revealed is the new iPad Pro (2021) series. This time, the iPad Pro series comes with a number of improvements - particularly in terms of hardware.
The new iPad Pro series already uses the M1 processor, the same chipset Apple has planted on the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini.
In his presentation, Apple claims the M1 processor in the new iPad Pro will provide faster and superior performance than the previous generation iPad Pro series.
"CPU performance in the new iPad Pro has increased 50 percent over the previous generation, and is 75 times faster than the first iPad in terms of CPU speed," Apple claims.
Apple has also equipped this new iPad Pro with 16GB of RAM, and an internal memory that is twice as fast with a capacity of up to 2TB.
Not only that, the company has also included a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt and USB4. Because of this, the new iPad Pro also supports a 6K resolution Pro Display XDR monitor.
IPad Pro screen
The 11-inch iPad Pro screen has Retina Display technology with capabilities. As for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple uses Liquid Retina XDR Display technology with a maximum brightness of up to 1,600 nits.
With 10,000 mini LEDs and 2,500 local dimming zones, the tablet's screen is the equivalent of a Pro Display XDR.
About the camera, this tablet is equipped with two cameras and a LiDAR sensor on the back. For selfies, Apple has embedded a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and carries the Center Stage feature.
Price of the iPad Pro
Then what is the price tag for this new iPad Pro? Apple will only open an order line for this brand-new tablet on April 30, 2021, but it will only be available for sale in May.
Apple will sell the 11-inch iPad Pro (WiFi) starting at USD 799, while the WiFi + 5G version will sell for USD 999.
Meanwhile, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro (WiFi) will start at USD 1,099, the WiFi + 5G version will be sold by Apple for USD 1,299.
